Former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has warned his former club against signing Manchester City midfielder Calvin Phillips.
The England international moved to the Etihad Stadium last summer for £42m, but has struggle with injuries and has yet to make a first-team debut. In the Premier League Even though the pain is gone now. But only in the reserve status.
Previously, Goal reported that “Reds” who are looking for a new midfielder to add to the team. After the end of the season aim at Phillips. But Johnson warned the old team not to think about getting it. Absolutely join the ufabet team.
“Injuries will be an issue, Liverpool should be aiming to compete with Manchester City. So signing players who can’t be in the squad is just like bringing in players and Manchester City. To believe they are miles ahead of Liverpool is psychologically something to watch out for,” Johnson said.
“Obviously Calvin is a very good player. But his injury puts a move at risk for Liverpool. He needs to be fit and show. He’s good enough for Manchester City before another club can sign him.
His injury record isn’t great, though, and this summer we need to ensure we sign players. That we can rely on rather than taking a gamble.
