Daniel CarvajalReal Madrid are looking to bring in a new right-back in the near future as the Bernabeu prepare to offload Daniel Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez. With Liverpool and England right-back Alexander-Arnold a target for Los Blancos.

‘Trent Alexander-Arnold would be a good fit for Real Madrid. Especially in terms of the way he plays and he’s done an incredible job. Not to mention he’s good friends with Jude Bellingham. He could end up at Madrid and that message could be sent to Liverpool as well.’

‘I don’t see any clear reason for taking Trent off the pitch against Man United, unless they know he’s going to leave. They want him to stay until the end of the season. And he’s going to leave for free at the end of the season. The message that he’s made his decision has probably been pass on to the club’s senior staff.’

‘His contract is coming to an end. If you were to leave Liverpool, where else would you go but to Real Madrid to really improve yourself?’ Souness said.
