Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will not part with the club despite a change of ownership.
The boycott against Roman Abramovich has created uncertainty at Stamford Bridge, where the German boss’ future has been among the talks. Especially when Manchester United are still looking for a new manager to be link in this regard.
Asked about Tuchel’s future, Gary told Sky Sports: “I think Thomas Tuchel will stay at the ufabet club.”
“With Chelsea we have seen reports in the last 24 hours. They are turning into the hands of another billionaire. So they will not weaken from a financial point of view.”
“If he wants to lay the foundation there he is on a good team he succeed I don’t think he will leave the team when the new owners come in – and obviously all restrictions will be taken off and proper support has been given to him for building the project.”
“That’s the first thing the fans are looking for them to do – will you support football in terms of business? I think that’s why they have to do it in the summer. So they might spend £150 to 200 million on new ownership.”
